Lesson Overview
In this lesson students will learn the connections between poetry, historical preservation, and war. Students will draw upon their personal experiences and write their own poem. The day will end with an exit question, challenging students to think forth on how we, too, can uplift marginalized stories. This is part of the collaborative art-based lesson guide, Justice for Comfort Women!: War & Imperialism.
This project was funded by San Francisco State University’s Comfort Women Research & Creative Scholarship.
