This curriculum centers our REALSOUL posters. For each poster, we have split the poster into three themes that are then designated to Grades 2-3, Grades 4-5, and Grades 6-8.

These lessons are intended to be supplemental materials, made as interdisciplinary units. We welcome being collaboration between teachers, subjects, and even grades! You have the option to either use one lesson guide, two, three, or all!

These lesson guides are for teachers. In lesson guides that require worksheets or lectures, we also include student-facing materials that are grade-appropriate.

Each of our lessons are 60 to 120 minutes. This allows for your to use the Analyze & Reflection sections on their own and/or add in the Transform & Act in a separate class. Teachers have the flexibility to expand on the material they would like. Many of our projects can also be made into semester long projects, depending on how much focus you’d like to give to each subject.

We understand that students have different reading levels and so we’ve adusted our readings to have a “beginner” and an “advanced” reading level. As the teacher, you have the option to provide one or the other for your students.

Yes! We try our best to make things as easy as possible for teachers -- which also means handling alignment to Common Core State Standards. Currently, we are focused on California and so most of our examples and resources will be specific to the Golden State; however, we do have collaborative projects that cater outside the state as well.
